Efficiently managing chatbot workflows is crucial for seamless customer interactions. Flexito offers powerful features like Sub Flow, which allows you to organise and optimise your chatbot steps effortlessly. Whether you're moving steps between flows or labelling them for better visibility, Flexito streamlines your process, enhancing both user experience and operational efficiency.

Similar to the "Canvas" feature, "Sub Flow" assists in organising steps. While "Canvas" focuses on steps within a specific subflow, "Sub Flow" manages steps throughout the entire chatbot or flow.

How to Create a Sub Flow

Navigate to "Flows" from the sidebar, click on "+ New Sub Flow", select a flow type, enter a name, and save your subflow.

Flow Type

Description

Normal Subflow

Varies in channels, basic subflow

Workflow

work at the backend without influencing the front end task

Function Flow

perform repetitive tasks

Click on the subflow to enter and begin editing. For additional options, click the three-dot icon. Each subflow has a unique ID called Sub Flow Ns within the chatbot.

You can use folders to keep your subflows organised.

Transferring Steps to a Sub Flow

To transfer one or more steps to a different subflow, first select the steps. You can then either:

  • use the Move to Subflow button in the editing panel, or

  • copy and paste them

To select multiple steps, hold the Shift key and click and drag to encompass the desired steps.

Alternatively, hold the Ctrl key and click on each step individually:

Once multiple steps are selected, the editing panel will appear. Choose "Select sub flow", then click "Move to sub flow".

Note: You need at least two steps to create a canvas or move them to other subflows. If you only have one step, consider adding a temporary step for the process and discard it afterward.

Note: If you cannot click "Move to sub flow" after selecting a subflow, ensure you haven't included the green Start Step in your selection. The green start point of any subflow cannot be moved. Resolve this by deselecting the green start point.

To copy and paste steps, use Ctrl + C to copy the selected steps. Then, navigate to the destination subflow and use Ctrl + V to paste them.

Invoking a Sub Flow

Once you've created subflows, you can invoke them using:

  • Goto Step

  • Keyword

  • Sequence

  • Broadcast

  • Facebook Widget

  • Comment Growth Tool

  • Triggers

  • Live Chat

  • Menu Items

  • Inbound Webhooks

  • API call ()

Flow Labels provide an intuitive way to manage subflows with colour-coded labels for better visual representation. This makes it easier to quickly identify and filter subflows, simplifying the navigation and management of complex workflows.

How Flow Labels Work:

Open the chatbot, go to Flows, and navigate to the label creation option.

Assign a name to your label and choose any colour you prefer.

Once your label is created, assign your flows according to the labels.

Select your label to view the assigned flows.

When you click on your label, only the flows assigned to that label will be visible.

Benefits of Using Flow Labels:

  • Quickly identify subflows within complex workflows.

  • Filter subflows based on assigned labels.

  • Enhance visual organisation and workflow clarity.
