Channels, Sub-Flows, and Steps

Channels

Start by creating a channel. Flexito OmniAI currently supports 17 different channel types:

Sub-Flow Types

A flow is made up of sub-flows. There are three types of sub-flows:

General Flow - This is used for sending messages and other user interactions. It is the most common type of flow used in automations.

Function Flow - This type is used for handling repetitive tasks.

Workflow - This is used for processing background tasks and those that do not require user interaction.

Step Types

Sub-Flows are composed of steps. There are eight types of steps:

The main differences between flow types are in their setup, the Send Message step, and the Question step. Each channel has its own limitations regarding message types. For instance, Facebook Messenger can display a product gallery, whereas the SMS channel cannot.

Flow Labels

Flow Labels are introduced to improve the management of sub-flows.

Flow Labels allow users to label and organise sub-flows within the Flow Builder. Each label can be customised with a unique name and colour, making it easier to visually differentiate between various flow types.

This feature is particularly beneficial for those managing multiple sub-flows, as it provides quick identification and filtering options to enhance workflow management.

Creating a Label and Assigning a Colour

To create a label, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Flow Builder.

2. Enter the label's name.

3. Choose a colour for the label.

Assigning labels with different colours makes organising sub-flows straightforward. You can easily identify and manage them based on their categories.

Adding a Sub-Flow to a Label

To add a sub-flow to a label, follow these steps:

1. Click on the vertical ellipsis (three dots) next to the sub-flow.

2. Select 'Manage Labels' from the dropdown menu.

3. Add the sub-flow to your chosen label.

This method ensures your sub-flows are neatly categorised under the correct labels.

Accessing Sub-Flows by Labels

To filter sub-flows by labels, you have two options:

1. All Selected Labels: This filter shows only the sub-flows that include all the labels you select.

1. Any Selected Labels: This option displays all sub-flows that have at least one of the selected labels.

Managing Sub-Flows in Folders with Flow Labels

When you first view your flows, all flows are displayed, including those in folders and the Root directory.

After applying a label filter:

• Only sub-flows matching the selected labels will be visible.

• Flows that are not selected, whether in the Root directory or in folders, will be hidden.

When you open a specific folder after applying a label filter:

• Only sub-flows with the chosen labels will be visible in that folder.

• All other sub-flows that do not match the label filter will remain hidden, even if they are in the same folder.

Bulk Actions for Flow Label Management

Flow Labels also support bulk management actions. You can:

• Add or remove labels from multiple sub-flows simultaneously

• Move them into folders

• Delete sub-flows in bulk
