Function flows streamline your processes by allowing you to create reusable sequences for tasks like collecting emails or phone numbers. This ensures efficiency and consistency across your interactions.

Function flows are an excellent way to avoid creating the same sequences repeatedly. They are particularly useful for tasks like collecting emails or phone numbers.

With a function flow, users can be directed to a specific sequence and, once completed, they will seamlessly return to their previous position in the original flow.

How to Create a Function Flow

To set up a function flow, navigate to 'Flows' from the left-hand menu and click on '+ New Sub Flow'.

Choose the 'Function flow' type, give your flow a name, and then click 'Create' to enter the flow builder.

Example of a Function Flow Within the flow builder, when adding a new block, you'll have access to all standard blocks plus an additional one called 'Output'.

The 'Output' feature is what distinguishes function flows. It allows you to return the user to their exact previous position in the original flow, if desired.

Let's create a simple example where we ask the user for their email and include an output module.

This is a straightforward flow, with its sole purpose being to request an email.

How to Call a Function Flow

Once this flow is complete, you can choose to return the user to the previous flow to continue the interaction.

Using Multiple Outputs

Your function flow can include multiple output steps.
