Overview
A new feature called Smart Delays has been introduced in the Tools section, providing a window to view all users currently in a Smart Delay state. This tool allows for easy monitoring and management of users paused in the flow, enhancing visibility and control over ongoing delays.
Smart Delays are displayed only if the delay duration exceeds 1 minute.
Functionality
When a user encounters a Smart Delay action, their details appear in the Tools section under Smart Delays. This feature facilitates easy monitoring and management of users currently experiencing a delay.
Features of Smart Delays
Each Smart Delay is assigned a unique ID for straightforward identification and management.
Schedule Time: Displays when the Smart Delay will end, indicating the exact time the bot will resume interaction.
Node: Shows the node from which the Smart Delay was initiated, providing context on the delay's origin within the flow.
Bot User: Identifies the bot user currently experiencing the Smart Delay, helping to pinpoint affected users.
Created At: Indicates when the Smart Delay began, offering insight into the duration of the user's delay.
You can cancel a Smart Delay for any user at any time, allowing full control over user delays as needed.
Applications
Follow-Up Messaging: Utilise Smart Delays to send follow-up messages to users who showed interest in a product but did not complete the purchase. Set Smart Delays to send 3-4 messages over hours or days, gently reminding them about the product, offering discounts, or suggesting related items.
Event Reminders: For users interested in an upcoming event (webinar, sale, product launch) who haven't completed their registration or sign-up, Smart Delays can send timely reminders. Messages can be sent 10 hours, 5 hours, or 1 hour before the event to encourage participation.
Smart Delays are an effective way to keep users engaged without overwhelming them. By using them strategically, you can send follow-up messages, reminders, and re-engagement prompts at the perfect time. Whether it’s reminding someone about an abandoned cart, following up after a purchase, or encouraging users to return after some time, Smart Delays ensure your interactions are timely and relevant.
Important Note
Smart Delays operate in a queue-based format when the delay exceeds 1 minute. Queues execute once per minute, so depending on when the Smart Delay is triggered, an additional 1-2 minutes may be added to the total delay time set on the Smart Delay node.
