Testing your chatbot flows before they go live is crucial for ensuring a seamless user experience. By inviting testers, you can identify and resolve potential issues, making your chatbot more reliable and effective.

Invite testers to your chatbot to test flows before they are published. This helps identify and fix any issues in your flows.

To clarify, a tester can access and view a flow that hasn't been published yet.

For example, if you have an onboarding flow that is publicly available, but you've made unpublished changes in the backend, testers can preview these updates.

To invite someone as a tester, they must be subscribed to your chatbot.

Invite and manage testers

To invite a tester, navigate to 'Tools' in the left-hand menu and select the 'Testers' tab.

To add a new tester, click the '+ New Tester' button in the top right corner. Enter the name of the person you wish to appoint as a tester.

Remember, the person you want as a tester must be an active subscriber to the chatbot.

After adding a tester, you'll return to the main testers overview, where you can manage them.

You can view the users you've invited as testers. To remove a tester, click the trash bin icon next to their name.

How to send testers flows

There are several ways to send draft flows to testers.

You can share a link to the specific flow or provide a keyword that triggers the flow.

Another method is to use a condition within the flow builder to restrict content to testers.

Go to any flow and insert a condition block. Search for the condition named 'is tester'.

This allows you to direct testers to specific parts of the flow for testing, while regular users follow the fully published flow.

Debug with test users

When a user is a test user, every flow they navigate will appear in the 'Tools' → 'Error Logs'. This activates full debug mode.

This feature is invaluable for tracking the exact path a user takes and helps in diagnosing potential issues.

Remember to remove test users once debugging is complete.
