Integrating PayPal into your workspace can streamline your payment processes, making it easier for customers to complete transactions seamlessly. Whether you're managing an e-commerce store or offering single products, this guide will help you set up and use PayPal effectively within your chatbots.

Integrate your PayPal account into your workspace with ease. From the main dashboard, navigate to the Integrations section via the left-hand menu and select PayPal from the list.

In step 3, choose the mode you want to activate. You can select either live mode or sandbox mode.

Log in to Your PayPal Developer Account

To obtain your credentials, log in to your PayPal account and go to your developer dashboard at .

Your overview will look similar to this:

Select a mode before creating an app to get your credentials. Once selected, you'll be directed to the app creation page.

After creating the app, you'll be directed to a page where you can retrieve the client ID and client secret key. Enter these details into your workspace's PayPal integration settings.

Optionally, you can set up a redirection after payment. This can lead to a success flow in your chatbot or a thank you page.

Enter Your PayPal Details

After copying and pasting all the necessary details into your workspace integration section, click save. You should see a verification notification appear in the top right corner.

Using PayPal in Your Bot

Once your account is connected, there are two ways to use PayPal in your chatbots.

First, ensure PayPal is set as a payment method in your e-commerce store settings.

Setting Your Payment Method

From the main dashboard, access the Ecommerce section via the left-hand menu.

Scroll down to the Payment Method section. Here, select PayPal as a payment method for your e-commerce store. Remember to click save to apply the changes.

Use Checkout for PayPal Payments

The built-in e-commerce store is an excellent tool for selling products. When users click the checkout button during a conversation, they will be directed to the online checkout section where they can choose PayPal as their payment method.

Use the One-Click PayPal Buy Button

Another way to use the PayPal integration is with the direct buy button. This is particularly useful for selling a single product or service.

Add a button and select the PayPal Buy button from the options provided.

Once selected, fill in all the product details as shown.

After entering all the details, scroll down and click save. You can now sell single products.
