Managing user subscriptions is crucial for maintaining effective communication with your audience. With Flexito, you can easily control who receives automated messages, ensuring your interactions are timely and relevant. Whether through the Flow Builder, Live Chat, or Bot Users section, subscribing and unsubscribing users is straightforward. This guide will show you how to efficiently manage these settings and set up triggers for seamless user engagement.

You can manage user subscriptions through the Flow Builder or Live Chat, allowing users to either subscribe or unsubscribe. Triggers can also be set for these actions.

Setting Triggers:

Triggers can be configured for user subscription and unsubscription events.

Note: Users are automatically subscribed when they message your bot for the first time. If a subscription trigger is active, it may cause duplicate actions during this initial interaction.

Using the Flow Builder:

In the Flow Builder, navigate to Action Step → Basic Actions to access the subscribe and unsubscribe options.

  • Subscribe: Users will start receiving automated messages from the bot upon subscription.

  • Unsubscribe: Users will stop receiving automated messages when unsubscribed. Their messages will still appear in Live Chat, but agents won't be able to respond.

Using Live Chat:

Users have the option to subscribe or unsubscribe directly via Live Chat.

If a user is already subscribed, you will only see the option to unsubscribe them.

Once a user is unsubscribed, sending messages from Live Chat will not be possible, and an error message will indicate that the user is unsubscribed.

However, you can resubscribe a user directly from Live Chat.

Through the Bot Users section:

Subscriptions can also be managed in the Bot Users section, where you can:

  • Individual Users: Choose a specific user to subscribe or unsubscribe.

  • Bulk Users: Apply subscription or unsubscription actions to multiple users simultaneously.

For Unsubscribed Users: Once a user is unsubscribed, you can't send messages through the flow, but you can still:

  • Send an email, Use an action node to add tags, Update the Custom User Field (CUF) value, Run an external request.
