Automating your chatbot processes can significantly enhance user interactions and streamline data management. By setting up triggers, you can seamlessly sync user actions, such as email opt-ins, with your CRM or Google Sheets, ensuring efficient data flow and improved customer engagement.
Triggers allow you to automate specific processes within your chatbot. For instance, if a user opts in for emails, you can automatically sync this information with a CRM or Google Sheet.
To access the trigger section, navigate to the left-hand menu, select 'Automation,' and then choose 'Triggers.' Here, you can create a new trigger by clicking the blue '+ New trigger' button at the top right.
After clicking, you'll see a list of available triggers to choose from:
Creating a New Trigger
Consider a trigger for when a payment is made within your chatbot. Click the blue '+ New trigger' button and select the 'Order Paid' trigger.
A new pop-up window will appear, allowing you to configure the details of your trigger.
In this window, you can enable or disable the trigger, set conditions for activation based on user filters, and add notes for clarity.
This feature is particularly useful when collaborating with a team or creating templates that require clear explanations.
Once you've configured your trigger, click the 'Save' button at the bottom right to proceed.
Choosing Your Sub Flow
With your trigger set up, the next step is to add an action. Do this by clicking the 'Choose Sub Flow' option next to the trigger.
This action opens a pop-up window where you can select the flow to connect when the trigger is activated.
You can also search for your flow by typing its name. Once selected, you'll return to the Trigger overview.
From the Trigger overview, you have several management options for your triggers.
Managing Your Triggers
To manage your triggers, you have two main options:
Enable or disable them using the slider next to each trigger.
Edit trigger settings, where you can also delete the trigger if needed.
