With this feature, your bot can send notifications through a variety of channels, including:

  • Email

  • Slack

  • SMS

  • Phone Call

This feature can be found under the "Notification" section of your Action step.

Email Notifications

To enable email notifications, first set up your email integration. Learn how to set up email integration here: ().

Unlike the "Send Email" step, email notifications only support text messages. For more message types like images, buttons, or files, refer to the "Send Email" step on the "Email Integration" page.

Enter the sender's address in the "Email Profile" field and the recipient's address in the "To Email" field.

Slack Notifications

To send notifications via Slack, you must first set up your Slack integration. Find out how to set up Slack integration here: ().

In the pop-up window, you can:

  1. Choose a Webhook.

  2. Select a default channel or specify another.

  3. Choose a message type and add as many as needed.

  4. For example, with the "Section" type, enter your message in area 4 and add a photo or field value if necessary.

  5. Use the "Test" button to send a test message and make adjustments.

  6. Click "Save" when finished.

SMS Notifications

Before sending an SMS notification, set up a sender number. Learn how to add a phone number here: ().

Utilise the "generate random text" operation with a text variable to create a random security code for verification purposes, as shown in the images.

Select a sender and a receiver, compose your message, and you're all set!

Making Phone Calls

Just like with SMS notifications, a phone number is required to make a phone call. Learn how to add a phone number here: ().

Additionally, you need to create a voice flow linked to this phone number; otherwise, your voice bot won't know what to say.

Ref Payload

The Ref payload is used to pass a message to the voice bot.

For instance, set the payload to "support" in the notification action and within your voice flow:

Navigate to the Start Step in your Main Flow and save the ref payload in a custom field.

TIP: You can pass a JSON variable in the ref payload, but it must be base64 encoded before and decoded after. Refer to base64 operations in Set Custom Field.

WhatsApp Notifications

To send a WhatsApp notification, first set up your WhatsApp integration.

Select your WhatsApp account to send messages to users. Ensure the recipient's number includes the country code.

Important Note: The recipient must have engaged within a 24-hour window; otherwise, the message may not be delivered.
