Bot fields in Flexito offer a streamlined way to manage consistent data across all your bot users. Whether you're sharing business hours or contact details, bot fields ensure that everyone receives the same information, simplifying updates and enhancing user experience.

Understanding Bot Fields

Bot fields, much like user fields, allow you to store and manage data. However, while user fields are tailored to individual bot users, bot fields store information that is uniformly accessible to all users.

These fields are ideal for static information, such as business opening hours or contact details, which remain consistent across all users.

How to Create a Bot Field

To create a bot field, navigate to the bot field overview tab.

Start by selecting 'Contents' from the left-hand menu, then click on the 'Bot Fields' tab.

To add a new bot field, click the '+ New Bot Field' button located in the top right corner.

A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to set up your new bot field.

Begin by naming your bot field, then choose the type of field you need.

The available field types include:

  • Text

  • Number

  • Boolean

  • Date

  • Datetime

  • JSON

Once you've chosen the field type, you can enter its value. Optionally, add a description and select a folder for organisation.

When all details are complete, click 'Save' at the bottom-right to finalise your bot field.

Managing Your Bot Fields

Once created, you can manage your bot fields from the main overview page.

Use folders to organise your bot fields efficiently. You can also toggle the template field option on or off.

To edit a bot field, click the pencil icon next to the field you wish to modify.
