Enhance your customer engagement by integrating various widgets into your digital platforms. Whether it's through Facebook bots, QR codes, or website chat, these tools make it easy for users to connect with your business seamlessly. Discover how to set up and customise these widgets to suit your needs.

For Facebook bots, certain widgets can be set up to initiate conversations quickly. Here's how to do it:

  1. Navigate to "Tools" from the left sidebar.

  2. Select "Widgets."

  3. Click on "+ New Widget."

Messenger Ref URL Widget

  1. Enter a widget name.

  2. Select a sub flow for the link to direct to.

(Leave fields 3 and 4 empty if no reference is required.)

  1. Enter a parameter name.

  2. Assign a custom user field.

Understanding the Ref parameter:

For example, creating a messenger ref URL to your main flow allows users to start a conversation with your bot by visiting this URL.

If you want to gather more information from the link, such as where users found it, enter "source" in field 3 and a variable to store the source in field 4, as shown in the image above.

Later, add a source name to your link based on its location. This helps you collect additional information from the link.

After completing all fields, click "Save" and then the pencil icon to edit the widget. A unique URL will be generated for this widget:

By visiting any of the following links, users can initiate a conversation with your bot:

example link

value in variable "source"

advertisement

shared_by_users

promoted_by_sales

Note that appending "--xxx" to the link transfers the value "xxx" to the bot.

QR Code Widget

While URL links are convenient for electronic access, QR codes are ideal for physical locations. Scanning a QR code allows users to start a conversation with your bot.

To set up:

  1. Name your widget.

  2. Select a sub flow.

  3. Upload your logo image.

  4. Adjust the image size if necessary.

  5. Modify the colour if needed.

  6. Change the dot scale if required.

  7. Click "Generate" to create an image on the right. Repeat steps 4, 5, and 6 to finalise the image.

  8. Download the QR code, print it, and place it in your store, restaurant, office, etc.
